ASTANA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys Astana have outplayed Salavat Yulaev 3:2 at Kazakhstan Sports Complex in Astana today, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.

The first stanza of the match was uneventful. Barys' Roman Starchenko gave his team a 1:0 lead in the 34th minute of the game. Defenseman Kevin Dallman stretched Barys' lead to 2:0 in the third period. However, Yevgeniy Skachkov and Anton Slepyshev of Salavat Yulaev scored goal apiece and equalized the score 2:2. It was Nikolai Antropov's late puck in the 58th minute that helped Barys win. Thus, Barys have snapped the two-game losing streak. The Astana-based club will host HC Sibir from Novosibirsk on home ice on January 22.
