KHL: Bochenski helps Barys crash Amur

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys Astana have snapped their three-game losing streak by beating HC Amur 5:3 in Khabarovsk on Sunday, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.

The hosts were quick to open the score in the 13th minute of the first stanza. However, Dustin Boyd of Barys scored the equalizer in early minutes of the second period. Aleksander Ryazantsev of Amur responded with another puck. After that Barys snatched the initiative as Brandon Bochenski and Talgat Zhailauov gave the Astana-based club the much-needed 3:2 lead. Yevgeniy Orlov of Amur tied the score in the 46th minute of the match. But Barys players were determined to win that night. At first, Nigel Dawes gave Barys the 4:3 lead in the 53rd minute and, then, the hero of the match - Brandon Bochenski - dropped the curtain with his second goal in the 57th minute. Barys will play its second game vs. Amur in Khabarovsk today at 3:00 p.m. Astana time.
