KHL: Cam Barker officially joins HC Barys Astana

ASTANA. November 6. KAZINFORM HC Barys Astana has officially signed a one-year contract with Canadian defenceman Cam Barker, according to the club's official website.

The 27-year-old Canadian used to play for Chicago Blackhawks, Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks. Barker also won gold medals at the 2005 and 2006 World Junior Championships with Canada's national team, Kazinform refers to Vesti.kz.

The new addition will join his teammates after a break in the KHL championship.
