KHL: Salavat Yulaev thrash Barys in Ufa

ASTANA-UFA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys Astana have suffered 3:5 loss on road against HC Salavat Yulaev in Ufa, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.

The first period was uneventful. Andrey Nazarov's side managed to open the score early in the second stanza with Mike Lundin's puck. However, Salavat Yulaev quickly responded with an equalizer and then Kirill Koltsov gave his team 2:1 lead. Nigel Dawes capitalized on Barys' one man advantage and tied the score in the 33rd minute of the game. The teams exchanged quick goals early in the third period, but Salavat was determined to take the win. With seconds left to play in regulation, the Ufa-based club scored twice (!). Barys will play HC Avangard in Omsk on November 20.
