Khorgos opening to be the best gift for 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence - Chinese Vice FM

BEIJING. November 23. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ Official opening of the International Centre of Boundary Cooperation "Khorgos" will take place on December 2, Fu Ying, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, told Kazinform in an interview.

"Opening of Khorgos International Centre of Boundary Cooperation will be another achievement of the bilateral relations and the best gift for the 20th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan," the Chinese diplomat said.

Regarding the development of bilateral relations she said that within 20 years the people of Kazakhstan led by President Nursultan Nazarbayev follow the way of stability and security. "At present Kazakhstan enjoys political stability, rises living standards. During this period, due to the personal attention of the leaders of the two countries we have maintained a sound momentum of development of friendly relations," Mrs. Fu Ying noted.

Today the world faces new challenges, in particular, the sovereign debts of a number of European Union countries. Despite the financial crisis, Kazakhstan and China are stable, but we can not stay away from these challenges. In this regard, the Chinese side is always ready to work with Kazakhstan to discuss issues relating to national stability and development of bilateral relations," the Vice Minister emphasized.

She congratulated Kazakhstan on the 20^th anniversary of independence.
