Korean specialists to inspect thermal power plants in Kazakhstan

South Korea’s KEPCO is set to inspect the condition of several power plants in Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Energy.

Energy Ministry Almasadam Satkaliyev has met today with vice presidents of KEPCO, DOOSAN ENERBILITY and other representatives of the companies. The meetings discussed the oncoming inspection of the condition of several thermal power plants in Kazakhstan for the purpose of further investment.

KEPCO is set to pilot the inspection of thermal power stations in Topar, Astana, Pavlodar and Almaty.

Following the inspection, we expect your expert evaluation of the prospects of further operation of TPPs, their modernization and improvement of their ecological indicators, said Satkaliyev and promised that the Ministry would provide all-round support in this work.
