Kuwait Fund expresses its readiness to participate in implementation of Tajikistan’s projects
The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavqi Zavqizoda held a meeting with the Director General of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) Waleed Al-Bahar in Kuwait City, Khovar reports.

During the meeting the parties assessed the importance of further development of cooperation and expansion of investments.
Zavqi Zavqizoda expressed gratitude to the leadership of the fund for its continuous support and significant contribution to the development of the country’s infrastructure, especially for financing the construction of the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Plant.
It was noted that to date, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development has allocated approximately $200 million to realisation of such sectors like transport, energy and infrastructure in Tajikistan.
In response to the Tajik side’s request, the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development expressed its readiness for the implementation of investment projects in Tajikistan’s priority sectors.
Earlier it was reported that Tajikistan and Japan have discussed preparations for Central Asia-Japan Summit.
