Kyrgyz economy demonstrates steady growth this year
In January-September of this year, Kyrgyzstan's economy faced high growth rates in the main areas of economic and social development, the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic said, Kabar reports.
Data on economic growth were taken from the report of the National Statistics Committee on socio-economic indicators for the first nine months of 2023.
Thus, the average monthly salary increased by 25.7% compared to last year and amounted to KGS 32,078 (about USD 359). Growth also occurred in the volume of foreign trade turnover by as much as 27%, amounting to USD 9 billion 407 million.
In addition, Kyrgyzstan's revenue from exports increased by 46% and amounted to USD 1 billion 850 million, while imports increased by 23%, amounting USD 7.5 billion.
Meanwhile, investments in fixed capital increased by 17%, reaching KGS 97 billion.
In general, the volume of gross domestic product for construction also increased by 13% and amounted to KGS 106 billion.
Agriculture remained at the level of last year, there were practically no changes: the volume of agricultural products reached KGS 294 billion.
The volume of industrial production increased most of all in Batken and amounted to 21%.
