Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry requests granting extension for doing business in Kazakhstan

BISHKEK. March 16. KAZINFORM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan is holding consultations with the Kazakh state agencies to provide extension for application of the new rules for doing business in respect of Kyrgyz labor migrants.

It was reported on Friday by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The fact is that from 1 January 2013 in Kazakhstan the tax regime had been abolished in the form of one-off coupons. Prerequisite for the trade of foreign nationals is now registration as an individual entrepreneur. Due to the change the Kyrgyz Embassy in Astana and the Consulate General in Almaty, with the assistance of the local authorities of Kazakhstan, are making arrangements to inform the migrant workers of the novelty in the tax area of Kazakhstan.

"Many Kyrgyz entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan have already prepared the permits and have been registered as individual entrepreneurs. Despite the repeated explanations on the part of officials of diplomatic missions of Kyrgyzstan, and the tax and immigration authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz people involved in the trade, have not become registered up today as self-employed persons and are undertaking no measures for preparing necessary documents ", the press office informs.

In order to avoid possible negative effects the MFA of the neighboring country repeatedly reminded the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic working in the field of trade in Kazakhstan of the need to register as a sole trader and is conducting a dialogue with the Kazakh government agencies as well.
