Kyrgyz national dies in road accident in Russia’s Saratov, several injured
A traffic accident involving citizens of Kyrgyzstan occurred in Saratov Region of Russia, KABAR reported.
The accident happened on the night of Nov. 30 to Dec. 1 at about 02:20 a.m. on the highway between the town of Ershov and the village of Ozinki, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said Monday.
Driver of Toyota Sienna with 8 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the passenger compartment lost control, as a result of which the car flew into the ditch.
As a result, one of the passengers, a 27-year-old man died on the spot. Five people were taken to Engels City Clinical Hospital. The 29-year-old driver is in serious condition in the intensive care unit. The condition of the other passengers is assessed as “medium severity”.
The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Russia is providing consular and legal assistance to the family of the deceased, as well as to the injured citizens.
The Foreign Ministry is keeping this issue under control.
