Kyrgyz rescuers leave for Kordai pass to help Kazakhstani colleagues

A group of Kyrgyz rescuers left for Kazakhstan to help Kazakh residents trapped in snow prison in Zhambyl region, Kazinform News Agency reports.

As reported, approximately 150 drivers and their passengers turned out to be trapped in snowdrift on Almaty-Tashkent highway, between the villages of Alga and Kordai.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan sent 39 rescuers, five pieces of heavy equipment, one Nissan PICKUP, two snowmobiles and other equipment.
