Kyrgyzstan and China strengthen cooperation in digitalization within SCO

Minister of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuria Kutnaeva and General Director of the Center for Promotion of the Industrial Internet of the Silk Road Yang Yun signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the field of digitalization as part of the implementation of the Statement of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on strengthening cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation, Kabar report.

The memorandum is aimed at establishing and developing effective and mutually beneficial cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China on the development of digital infrastructure, the creation of data processing centers, the development of digital solutions and the introduction of best practices in the field of industrial Internet technologies and trade and economic cooperation.

During the discussion of the memorandum, the head of the department of political and economic research of the presidential administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Almaz Isanov, noted: “Together we are focusing on several strategic directions. The first is the development of digital infrastructure through active support for the construction of data processing centers, the second direction is the digitization of archival documents and the third is the construction of a chip production plant. These projects are not just a demonstration of advanced technologies, but the practical implementation of digital transformation in public administration.”

This important step will be an incentive for technological progress and improving the quality of life of citizens through the development of digital transformation.

The start of cooperation with the Silk Road Industrial Internet Promotion Center received support and approval from Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov.

The Silk Road Industrial Internet Promotion Center is a scientific and technical public organization created with the support of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a practical mechanism for implementing the Declaration of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO on strengthening cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation.
