Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to tackle refinery construction issue
BISHKEK. May 16. KAZINFORM As part of his visit to Moscow Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev met with his Azerbaijan counterpart Ilham Aliyev, the Kyrgyz President's press service said.
The parties met on the sidelines of the CSTO Collective Security Council meeting and informal summit of the CIS Heads of State. The Presidents debated progress of implementation of agreements reached previously during Atambayev's visit to Azerbaijan this March.
As earlier reported, one of the outcomes of his visit to Azerbaijan was a preliminary agreement on Azeri investments into the construction of a refinery in Kyrgyzstan. Kazakhstan's KazMunaiGaz Company is considered as a raw material supplier for the future refinery.
As stated there, a Kazakhstan's representative will join the working group dealing with the construction of the refinery and raw material supplies.
