Kyrgyzstan, Belarus to raise trade turnover to $500mln

The volume of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus for the first 9 months of this year amounted to USD 68 million. This was announced during a meeting of the Kyrgyz-Belarusian intergovernmental commission in Bishkek, KABAR reported.

The sides agreed on the need to intensify the work of government agencies of the two countries to achieve a trade turnover figure of USD 500 million in the next 3 years.

The parties also noted the coincidence of positions on the issue of restoring direct flights between Minsk and Bishkek. According to statistics, at the end of last year, about 5,000 citizens of Belarus visited Kyrgyzstan, and over 4,000 people in the first 8 months of this year
