Kyrgyzstan imports nearly 7M hatching eggs since early 2024
Kyrgyzstan imported 6,971,760 hatching eggs from third countries in the first 11 months of 2024, Kabar reports.
The Ministry of Agriculture reported that of these, 4.9 million hatching chicken eggs were imported from Türkiye, more than 2 million from Uzbekistan and 16 thousand from France. This is 4,664,182 more compared to the same period last year, when 2.3 million hatching eggs were imported.
In addition, 9 thousand turkey hatching eggs were imported from France. 2.3 million pieces of chicken eggs were purchased from Uzbekistan.
Since the beginning of the year, 36 million 947 thousand 880 food eggs were imported into the country, while exports amounted to 236,600.
A hatching egg is a fertilized egg from which a chick can be hatched.
Earlier, in November, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan reported an increase in production of meat, milk, eggs and wool.
