Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan strengthen cooperation in the agricultural sector, Kabar reports.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for a working visit to attend the 12th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council.

During the meeting, the Ministries of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan signed a Roadmap to increase mutual supplies of agricultural products for 2024-2025.

The main objective of the Roadmap is to expand trade in agricultural goods, eliminate barriers to bilateral trade, improve logistics and stimulate mutual supply of products, which will be an important step in strengthening agricultural cooperation and ensuring food security in the region.

The signing of the above-mentioned document was another step towards deepening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, opening new horizons for effective partnership in the field of agricultural production.

It is worth reminding that Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan commodity turnover surpassed USD 1.2 bln over 9 months.
