Kyrgyzstan launches 17 new industrial and infrastructure facilities

During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan on Monday, a ceremonial opening of 17 new industrial and infrastructure facilities located in various regions of the country took place online, Kabar reports.

The Cabinet of Ministers said that, these facilities were the final ones in the 2024 program for commissioning new production facilities and infrastructure projects.

“Dear Kyrgyzstanis, let hundreds of plants and factories be launched in our country. Today we officially announce the opening of 17 facilities and a total of 102 industrial enterprises planned for 2024, 85 of which were launched during the year,” said the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev.

The enterprises put into operation cover various sectors of the economy, including manufacturing, construction, processing and services. The opening of these facilities will not only create new jobs, but will also significantly increase production volumes in the domestic market, the report said.

Earlier it was reported China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan railway is to strengthen Central Asia's role in global supply chains.
