Kyrgyzstan sets goal to increase share of industry in GDP from 16% to 25%
We set a goal to increase the share of industry in GDP from 16% to 25%, said Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev, Kabar reports.
Speaking at III People's Kurultai, the head of the Cabinet said that the mechanical engineering and machine tool industry will develop.
"In this area, more than 100 enterprises have been opened in the country, including 4 large plants. Currently, industry accounts for 16% of the GDP, and in the medium term, the goal is to increase this figure to 25%," he said.
