Kyrgyzstan takes 2nd place in Tourism in CIS nomination

Kyrgyzstan took 2nd place in the Tourism in the CIS nomination of Russian Traveler Awards, Kabar reports.

The Department of Tourism reported that the award ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the national tourism award Russian Traveler Awards took place on December 9 in Moscow.

The Russian Traveler Awards is organized by the Russian Traveler publication.

As a result of online voting among readers and the selection of an expert jury, it was possible to determine the best in the world of travel - from attractions and routes to traditions and holidays. The award annually helps to talk about the main points on the tourist map of Russia and discover new ones.

This year the Award is being held for the 3rd time.

64 regions of Russia, the CIS and other countries took part in the Award.

More than 500 applications for participation in the Award were submitted.

Voting took place in 21 nominations.

Over 500 thousand users took part in the voting. Online voting took place from May 20 to October 31, 2024.

The winners of the Russian Traveler Awards 2024 were determined by open online voting, but the votes of the expert jury also joined the readers' choice.

Thus, the following countries took place in the "Tourism in the CIS" nomination:

1st place: Azerbaijan

2nd place: Kyrgyzstan

3rd place: Uzbekistan
