Kyrgyzstan to begin exporting coal to China in 2024
The state enterprise Kyrgyzkomur will begin exporting coal to the People's Republic of China in 2024, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov told at the second People's Kurultai, KABAR reports.
He said that exports will begin from 4 fields: Ak-Ulak, Urmezan, Kara-Keche, Besh-Burkan.
“In addition, by 2025 a coal enrichment plant will be built in the Naryn region,” he said.
The second People's Kurultai of a state scale is being held in Bishkek with the participation of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiyev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, state and municipal employees also participate in the work of the kurultai.
The people's sector consists of 700 delegates, including 640 delegates from all regions of the republic, 30 delegates from ethnic groups and 30 from migrant workers abroad.
The meeting participants will discuss the results of the first People's Kurultai and a number of current issues. As a result, a resolution of the second People's Kurultai will be adopted.
