In late December, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan tasked the Presidential Property Management Department to lease land plots to three construction companies  for a period of 49 years for the construction of a five-star hotel in Tamchy.  

These companies are expected to invest up to 1 billion soms in the project, scheduled to be completed by January 1, 2028.

Last September, Kamchybek Tashiev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, laid a time capsule for the construction of the hotel.

The 8-storey hotel will be located 700 meters from the Tamchy Airport, covering an area of 99,994 m2, with a total construction area at 48,476 m2.

As per the project, the hotel will offer its guests one presidential room, 20 suites, 109 standard rooms decorated with the elements of Kyrgyz culture, as well as 14 villas with a panoramic view of Lake Issyk-Kul;  a 3,500 m2 natural swimming pool with organic shapes that can be filled with lake water; a ballroom and a conference hall for 1,000 people, with  a panoramic view of the lake;  a 1,500 m2 spa;  meeting and conference rooms; 10 bungalows with a swimming pool on the lake; a world cuisine restaurant for 500 guests; outdoor sports grounds; about 50,000 m2 of landscape design and beach areas for sunbathing with a width of 258 meters; a semi-Olympic indoor pool with a view of the lake; closed parking for 150 cars; two large green piers, and one beach volleyball court.

Earlier, it was reported that Kyrgyzstan intends to attract USD20 billion in investment funds in ski tourism.
