The environmentally friendly city will be built in Kemin region of Chui Oblast.

The decree stipulates that provision of housing to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic is one of important areas of the country's socio-economic development. The solution to this problem has a positive impact on the well-being of the population, contributes to the reduction of external and internal migration, creates conditions for retaining qualified personnel, and reduces the level of social tension in the regions.

By the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic is instructed to develop and approve the concept for the construction of the environmentally friendly city by June 1, 2025, hold negotiations with investors and sign the relevant investment agreement on the implementation of the investment project.

Earlier, Sadyr Zhaparov said that the city will be designed for 80 thousand families.

Previously, it was reported that Kyrgyzstan plans to boost tourism with a new five-star hotel on shores of Issyk-Kul Lake.
