The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) has allocated about USD 1 million for the construction of the first commercial data processing center in Kyrgyzstan, the organization’s press service reported, Kabar reports.

“The Cabinet of Ministers pays great attention to the development of IT, the creation of digital services and the introduction of artificial intelligence tools. All this is impossible without proper data storage and processing. The data center will begin operating this year and contributes to the development of digitalization,” said Artem Novikov, Chairman of the Board of the RKDF.

Government institutions, banks and enterprises constantly process large amounts of information and deal with personal data of citizens. The uniqueness of the project is that this information can be stored on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. There is no possibility of leakage.

“As part of the implementation of the Fund’s Strategy until 2027, we will expand the range of our activities and cover more and more areas. IT infrastructure is one of them. By supporting such projects, we stimulate accelerated economic growth,” Novikov added.
