Kyrgyzstan to create E-Commerce Park
Kyrgyzstan plans to create an E-Commerce Park. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the republic has submitted the corresponding draft law for public discussion, Kabar reports.
Thus, it is envisaged to create a special zone with favorable conditions for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. Park residents will be able to sell goods and provide services in electronic form, paying taxes in accordance with the national legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The main objectives of the E-Commerce Park will be to develop digital infrastructure, attract investments, support national trading platforms and stimulate exports of domestic manufacturers' products. Among the advantages of the Park's residents are special tax conditions and the opportunity to participate in international projects.
The bill also provides for the creation of a supervisory board that will control the Park's activities and approve the status of residents.
Kyrgyzstan's favorable strategic location offers significant potential to become a transit zone for commercial transportation and trade between the PRC, Russia, Kazakhstan, South Asia and the Middle East.
