Kyrgyzstan to host 3rd culture festival of EurAsEC nations in 2013

MIR. November 8. KAZINFORM The third culture festival of the EurAsEC nations will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2013. The relevant decision was taken at the 3rd meeting of the Cultural Council of the EurAsEC Integration Committee at the Mir Castle on 5 November, Deputy Culture Minister of Belarus Viktor Kurash told media after the event.

According to BelTA, the date for the festival as well as the city-host has not been defined yet. Viktor Kurash noted that the meeting participants summed up the results of the 2nd culture festival of the EurAsEC nations that took place in Astana (Kazakhstan) in May 2011.

The meeting focused on a draft agreement on cultural cooperation between the EurAsEC member states. According to Viktor Kurash, this agreement will help strengthen cooperation in different cultural sectors.

The meeting participants considered a draft action plan for EurAsEC cultural cooperation, humanitarian collaboration as well as joint events and projects.

Partaking in the meeting were representatives of the cultural ministries of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
