Kyrgyzstan’s GDP exceeds KGS 1 trln

 The gross domestic product of the Kyrgyz Republic has exceeded the mark of KGS 1 trillion. This is evidenced by the figures on a special counter on the official website of the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the country, which currently shows KGS 1 trillion 21 billion, and this figure continues to grow, Kabar reports.

The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that during a meeting of the Cabinet on Nov. 23, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov said that for the first time in the history of the country's independence, the GDP of the Kyrgyz Republic will reach KGS 1 trillion.

"GDP per capita in dollar terms reached $1,900 in 2023, up from $1,665 last year, an increase of $669 over the past three years, compared to a $311 increase over the ten-year period from 2010 to 2020," Akylbek Zhaparov noted.

He added that these figures clearly demonstrate the economic growth and foreshadow even greater growth in the future, which will cover all spheres of social life and significantly increase the real standard of living of the population.
