Kyrgyzstan's industrial output amounts to 237bln soms since year's beginning
The volume of industrial production in January-June 2024 amounted to 237 billion soms, First Deputy Chairman of the National Statistics Committee Nazira Kerimalieva told, Kabar reports.
According to the data provided by Kerimalieva, the figure increased by 1.0% compared to January-June 2023 due to an increase in the production of refined petroleum products by 55.8%, wood and paper products, printing activities by 28.8%, food products (including drinks) and tobacco products by 17.9%, pharmaceutical products by 16.6%, chemical products by 14.4%, rubber, plastic products and building materials by 8.9%, as well as in textile and clothing production by 8.6 %.
Positive trends were observed in construction, where the increase in volumes was 48.5%, wholesale and retail trade - 21.0%, as well as in agriculture - 3.3%.
