Kyrgyzstan’s Naryn to export coal to China
It is planned to build a coal base on the Kur-Terek site in the village of Emgekchil, Naryn Oblast state administration reported, Kabar reports.
An investment forum was held in the region on Tuesday, and its participants got acquainted with the project of the future base.
The construction of the coal base is being carried out by Tenir-Too Invest Co LLC with the participation of foreign investors. The total area of the base is 9.5 hectares. Coal will be brought to the base from the Min-Kush deposit and sent for export to China.
Head of the Min-Bulak village council Bolotkan Bayake uulu told that the agreement was signed for 5 years.
“The base will be built from a lightweight structure. It is planned to export about 100 thousand tons of coal annually. Also, the local population will be provided with 500 tons of coal at its own cost and 50 low-income families will be provided with coal for free,” the local official said.
