Kyzylorda-based glass factory exports 30% of its products to neighboring countries

Kyzylorda-based glass factory launched in 2022 supplies 70% of its products to the internal market, while 30% is exported to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The capacity of the factory is 197,000 tons. Since its commissioning, the factory has released 167,000 tons of products, Kazinform News Agency quotes governor of Kyzylorda region Nurlybek Nalibayev as saying at a briefing today.

According to him, the factory offers numerous opportunities to establish ‘a belt of small and medium businesses’ around it. Thus, the factory plans to set up eight enterprises to manufacture various glass products to the amount of more than 130,000 tenge.

Namely, the factory will launch production of 5 million square meters of low-E insulating glass per year. The construction of the plant on production of glass bottles and mirrors will be launched. The  projects are estimated at 32.3 billion tenge. Besides, the factory will launch a unit for production of lime and dry building mixes worth 1 billion tenge.

In the upcoming year, the region will implement10 projects worth 27.1 billion tenge which will let create 630 jobs, the governor said.
