KZ Ambassador laid wreath to Eternal Flame at Square of Victory in Minsk

MINSK. January 24. KAZINFORM Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Belarus A. Smirnov laid a wreath to the Eternal Flame at the Square of Victory in Minsk, Kazinform reports.

That was one of the first steps of the Kazakh Diplomat after presenting credentials to President of Belarus A G. Lukashenko and assuming office of an ambassador. The years of the war became the hardest period for the people of Belarus, but they stood it with honor. Belarus greatly contributed to the common Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Representatives of the Minsk Municipal Executive Committee, Kazakh Diaspora living in Minsk, mass media, Belarusian community and diplomats of the Kazakh Embassy attended the ceremony. After the ceremony, A. Smirnov answered the journalists? questions. In particular, he declared his intention to activate cultural-humanitarian interaction and inter-regional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus. In this view, the Ambassador informed of the visits of the delegations of West Kazakhstan and Mangystau oblasts to Belarus scheduled for February. Besides, Mr. Smirnov noted that Belarus planned to send its representative delegation to Karaganda region in March. In this way the countries intend to realize the decisions adopted during the V session of the Kazakhstan-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation.
