KZ Ambassador meets Dutch Minister of Economy
ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador to the Netherlands Mainura Murzamadiyeva met with Minister of Economy of this country Maria van der Hoeven in the Hague yesterday. State and prospects of development of the two countries? cooperation in trade-economic and investment spheres were on agenda of the meeting, Kazinform has learnt from the Kazakh MFA?s press service.
The parties highlighted mutually beneficial character of attraction of the Dutch experience and potential in agriculture, high technologies, energy, transport and technical regulation to Kazakhstan. Mrs. Maria van der Hoeven highly appraised Kazakhstan?s striving for a new level of strategic partnership with the European Union, having expressed readiness to support our country?s initiatives within the EU and the OSCE in the context of implementation of ?Road to Europe? state program and chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OSCE in 2010.
The Dutch Minister highly estimated Kazakh Government?s Joint Action Plan on stabilization of economy and financial system for 2009-2010.
Kazakhstan is among four priority countries for the Netherlands (Russia, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia and Algeria) with which the country intends to establish closer ties in energy, the Minister said. Kazakhstani side proposed to the Netherlands to consider possibility of establishment of a joint inter-governmental commission on bilateral trade-economic cooperation.
Following up the meeting the parties concluded an agreement on organization of a visit of a Dutch delegation headed by Maria van der Hoeven to Kazakhstan to participate in ?Oil and Gas? exhibition and conference (KIOGE-2009). It was also pointed out that the Netherlands attached importance to holding bilateral meetings for discussion of trade and economic and energy cooperation, including exchange of experience and knowledge in renewable energy.
