KZ Ambassador meets Pakistani Senate Chairman in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD. April 17. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador to Pakistan Bakhytbek Shabarbayev has met with Pakistani Senate Chairman Farooq Naek. The Kazakh diplomat extended congratulations of the Kazakh Senate Chairman Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to the newly-elected Pakistani Senate Chairman; Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in Pakistan.

At the meeting Farooq Naek was informed of the main provisions of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev?s Message to the Nation ?Through Crisis to Renovation and Prosperity?.
The Pakistani parliamentarian highly spoke of the Kazakh Head of the State as a famous state figure in the world, who made a great contribution to the country?s development and well-being.
At the meeting a wide range of issues on the Kazakh-Pakistani relations was discussed. The sides emphasized a high level of bilateral cooperation,which has a great development promise. Farooq Naek resumed that Pakistan is interested in strengthening relations with Kazakhstan.
The Pakistani Senate Chairman noted significance of intercultural and interfaith dialog in countering the global challenges. In this connection, he was acquainted with the foreign policy initiatives of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev ? III Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions and holding conference of foreign ministries ?Common world: progress through diversity?.
Following the results of the meeting an agreement on activation of cooperation between the two countries by creation of an interparliamentary friendship group and exchange of visits of the Senates Speakers was reached.
