KZ Ambassador meets with President of ?JICA? Agency in Tokyo
ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM. Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Japan Akylbek Kamaldinov met with President of Japan International Cooperation Agency ?JICA? Sadako Ogata. The parties discussed the issues of further cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan within the frame of the Japan?s Official Development Assistance (ODA); Kazinform refers to the Kazakh MFA?s press service.
Special attention was paid to the issues of ?JICA? participation in implementation of breakthrough infrastructure projects aimed at modernization of Kazakhstan?s economy and introduction of high technologies in domestic enterprises including activation of mutual cooperation in the context of technical partnership.
S. Ogata appraised political and economic reforms of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev aimed at increasing Kazakhstani citizens? welfare and ensuring stability in the country and Central Asia as a whole. Mrs. Ogata expressed readiness to consider further participation of ?JICA? in the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan.
As is known, one of the largest organizations in the world was established after merging of ?JICA? Japan International Cooperation Agency and ?JBIC? Japan Bank of International Cooperation on October 1, 2008. ?JICA? renders technical and financial assistance, holds training and internship of over 8 thousand specialists from different countries of the world, realizes programs on long-term and ?soft? loans for infrastructure projects in different countries.
