KZT 1 bln to spend on Atyrau Zhastary housing program

This year Atyrau region commissioned 558,300 square meters of housing. Of which 390,200 square meters are private residences, and 168,100 square meters are designated for commercial use, governor Serik Shapkenov said, Kazinform News Agency reports.

This year 242 people received apartments from the municipal housing construction fund.

The governor also revealed the measures and instruments aimed at improving housing conditions for all groups of the population. 1 billion tenge will be allocated from the local budget for the development of the Atyrau Zhastary (Atyrau youth) housing program for young people under 35 years old.

Bakytty otbasy - Atyrau program supports large, single-parent families as well as limited-resources families. 3 billion tenge will allotted for its implementation. As of today, 38 families have been provided with housing, and 26 received approval to take part in the program.

He added that 104 houses are in disrepair across the region.
