KZT 14.5 bln channeled to support Aktobe farmers

Aktobe region pays great attention to the development of agriculture. This year the region channeled 14.5 billion tenge in state support, governor Askhat Shakharov said, Kazinform News Agency reports. 

He stressed all-round support will be further rendered to farmers, and small and medium-sized businesses engaged in agriculture. It is also planned to expand the Auyl amanaty project.

This year the region experienced heavy precipitations and bad weather conditions. Besides, saiga and grasshoppers damaged pastures. The region allocated an additional 2.9 billion tenge to refund feed costs. Thanks to the state support the farmers produced products worth 397 billion tenge.

He added crop yield reached 10.2 centners per hectare, the region harvested 429,000 tons.

Askhat Shakharov also focused on the further development of the region’s agro-industrial complex. 93 projects worth 502 billion tenge will developed in the region by 2026 according to the joint investment roadmap. 1,627 projects worth 7.3 billion tenge were approved as part of the Auyl amanaty project.

101 pastry shops and a bakery, 129 dairy and 65 meat processing production facilities, and over 430 other projects of small rural businesses were commissioned across the region. 1,210 new workplaces were generated then.
