KZT 205 mln levied against natural monopolies' holders in Kazakhstan in 2012
ASTANA. March 18. KAZINFORM "Fines at a rate of more than KZT 205 million were levied against holders of natural monopolies in Kazakhstan in 2012," the Chairman of the Agency of Kazakhstan for Natural Monopolies Regulation Murat Ospanov has informed at the Government Hour in Majilis.
Last year 471 checks were conducted, 744 orders to eliminate violations of the law were made, 382 decisions on administrative cases were issued within the monitoring of compliance with legislation and prevent violations of the rights of consumers.
In addition, Ospanov told about the Agency's activity concerning protection of consumer's rights.
According to him the public hearing on the change of tariffs involving consumers, annual reports of natural monopolies to consumers are held; a ban on the recognition of the tariff estimate proprietary has been imposed, expert group meetings with the involvement of consumers to participate in the examination of the tariffs and prices are held.
