L.N.Gumilyev Eurasian National University celebrates Nauryz

ASTANA. March 26. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ The celebration of Nauryz holiday has been held today in the L.N.Gumilyev Eurasian National University.

Students, teachers, famous scientists, public figures, representatives of foreign embassies in Astana took part in the event.

Rector of the university Bakytzhan Abdraiym addressed the audience. In particular, he congratulated everybody on organizing and holding the holiday successfully. He also wished everybody all the best.

"This holiday has always been considered by Kazakh people as a symbol of spring renewal, love and friendship. It is a holiday of spring. It has been celebrated for more than 5 thousand years by many people, in many countries of Asian continent," he added.
