Labor legislation improvement discussed in Almaty

ALMATY. March 15. KAZINFORM Improvement of the labor legislation has been discussed today during the international research-to-practice conference "Universal labor society: Practice and the perspectives of modernization of trade union movement and social legislation" at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazinform has learnt form the press service of the University.

The event has been held in order to implement President of Kazakhstan ideas to strengthen trade labor movement and to increase their role in the country's social life.

The conference discussed the modernization of the trade union movement, the problems and prospects of union building, prevention, prevention and control of industrial disputes, improvement of labor legislation and social security legislation.

"Our goal is to create a fundamentally new model of labor relations, which combines support for entrepreneurship in the interests of workers, trade unions represented in the main," professor of the Gumilyov Eurasian National University Yenlik Nurgaliyeva noted.

Memorandum on the establishment of the Public Association named "Scientific-Practical Center of social partnership and union building" was signed at the conference.

The conference was attended by the representatives of industrial unions of the CIS countries, leading legal scholars, representatives of research institutions, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, teachers and university students.
