Lady Gaga, the Louvre, and a new song from 'Harlequin' album
American artist Lady Gaga, star of the new film "Joker: Folie à Deux", has published a new video on her social network Instagram as part of a joint campaign with the Louvre, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
Earlier, on Tuesday, the Oscar-winning artist announced that she will be releasing a new album titled "Harlequin" on September 27, which she described as a companion album to the upcoming film "Joker: Folie à Deux,". The video supposedly features the song “Joker” from the new album.
The video promotes the Louvre's new exhibition, "Figures of the Fool," which like the movie, opens next month. The exhibition examines the omnipresence of fools in Western art and culture at the end of the Middle Ages.
The exhibition will also explore the disappearance of the figure of the fool with the Enlightenment and the triumph of reason, and its resurgence at the end of the 18th century and all throughout the 19th. It will include more than 300 works of art.
In the video, the singer explores the Louvre at night. She approaches the Mona Lisa closely and draws a clown-like smile in lipstick on the protective glass in front of it.
