Laura Mersalimova to serve as Kazakh Vice Minister of Justice temporarily

Laura Mersalimova has become an interim Vice Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the Government’s press service.

She will temporarily replace Vice Minister Alma Mukanova.

Hailing from Karaganda, Laura Mersalimova is a graduate of the Kazakh Humanitarian and Law University and the Russian Economic and Civil Service Academy under the President of the Russian Federation.

She started her professional career at the Kazakh Ministry of Justice in 2022 and held various posts there up until 2014.

In 2014 she was appointed as the head of the legal service of the Kazakh Agency for Consumers’ Rights Protection. The same year she joined the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and worked at the chamber up until now.
