Le Figaro: Italy has become the ‘strong man’ in Europe

Italy has become the “strong man” of Europe. The daily newspaper “Le Figaro” writes this in an editorial, Agenzia Nova reports.

Although Italy is “perceived as a country in crisis, it can actually pride itself on considerable qualities such as the stability of its executive and its good management of debt,” says the French newspaper, which defines the Peninsula as a “solid country”.

“Italy is a globally rich country, endowed with one of the most important patrimonies in Europe,” writes “Le Figaro,” underlining the “large accumulation of private savings” that benefits the Italian economy. “Aware of the obligations that its debt imposes on it, Rome is managing its public finances very responsibly,” adds the French daily.
