Leaders of Organization of Turkic States sign Astana Act

Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) signed the Astana Act and other documents, Kazinform Agency reports.

According to the Kazakh President, Turkic nations live on a vast territory ranging from Lake Baikal to the Balkans Peninsula. “As is known, the Turkic civilization originated in the Great Steppe. Kazakhstan is interested in the further development of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Our common goal is to deepen cooperation between the Turkic nations. We should promote the new Turkic World brand to strengthen the solidarity of Turkic nations and build their potential,” the Head of State said.

The Kazakh President added that Kazakhstan, as the OTS Chairman, attaches great significance to revitalizing cooperation measures and works for establishing contacts in various spheres and raising the organization’s international standing.
