LG International interested in water treatment plant construction in Balkhash town

ASTANA. march 15. KAZINFORM Director of the department of public-private partnership development Nazgul Nurkenova and Director of the department of concessional projects Aslan Bulatov met with representatives of "Kazakhstan Center for Modernization and Development of Housing Utilities" JSC and Head of LG International office in Kazakhstan Kim Geng Ho, the press service of the PPP center informed.

Aslan Bulatov informed the participants of the meeting about "Drinking Water" program developed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan and five pilot projects in Balkhash, Kyzylorda, Semey, Atyrau and Aktobe cities implemented within this program.

Nazgul Nurkenova briefed on the main tasks on public-private partnership development in Kazakhstan outlined in the Program of Public-Private Partnership Development in Kazakhstan for 2011-2014.

Members of LG International presented the main directions of the activity of the LG Group. The company deals with realization of social projects, petrochemical projects and oil and gas projects.

Kim Geng Ho expressed interest of his company in realization of concessional projects on construction of water treatment plants in Balkhash town and opportunity of LG International's participation in the projects.

The sides discussed the details of the project. The participants of the meeting agreed to continue consultation cooperation.
