ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan and Lithuania have great potential in terms of cooperation, believes Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevičius.

After the bilateral negotiations with his Kazakh counterpart Karim Massimov in Astana, the Lithuanian official noted that 2015 is special both for Kazakhstan and his country. "Lithuania marked 25th anniversary of its independence on March 11 this year. And I would like to congratulate Kazakhstan on the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the 20th anniversary of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan and the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh khanate celebrated this year as well," Prime Minister Butkevičius said. "Lithuania and Kazakhstan have a lot of common interests in the sphere of bilateral cooperation, especially in transport sector, trade, education, medicine and so on," he added.
