Lithuanian PM's visit to Astana a breakthrough in bilateral relations - Massimov
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The visit of Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius to Astana is a breakthrough in Kazakhstan-Lithuania bilateral partnership, believes Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov.
"Today we've discussed a wide range of issues related to our cooperation, especially in terms of transport and investments. I believe that your visit is of paramount importance for promoting cooperation between Kazakhstan and Lithuania," Karim Massimov said during the meeting with his Lithuanian colleague. At the same time, the Kazakh Prime Minister underscored that Kazakhstan intends to enter the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). "Lithuania is about to become a member of the OECD. We hope that Kazakhstan will walk in Lithuania's footsteps in the future and that we will cooperate in that direction," Prime Minister Massimov stressed.
