Liverpool complete siging of Manquillo

BEIJING. KAZINFORM - Liverpool is continuing their summer signing spree, agreeing to to Javier Manquillo on loan from Atletico Madrid. The Spanish full-back completed his move to Anfield with a view to making the deal permanent.

Manquillo played for Real Madrid's youth team before moving to the club's city rivals, where he would play six games in the first team. The 20-year-old has represented his country at several youth levels but has yet to win a first full international cap. Manquillo is the latest player to join 'the 'Reds this summer and is happy to be going to the EPL side, Xinhua reported.

How does it feel to join Liverpool?

"First of all, thanks very much. I'm very happy to have signed for a club like Liverpool. I think it's one of the biggest in Europe. Any footballer would want to come and play here," Javier Manquillo said.

How did you feel when coming to Liverpool became a realistic possibility for you?

"When they tell you Liverpool want to sign you, I think like any player, you are going to be absolutely amazed and you don't think of anything else but going straight there," Javier Manquillo said.

What do you know about Liverpool Football Club?

"Well, the club is one of the biggest in Europe. No English club has won more European Cups (Champions League). It has a superb history and I think it's a team that nowadays, as I said before, any player would want to be part of it," Javier Manquillo said.
