"NATO and the CSTO which is growing in power from year to year should see each other, and not just see but cooperate ensuring peace and security on the Eurasian continent," the Belarusian head of state said.

"Regional security in Eurasia cannot be separated. All the organizations that are able to work on providing this security should cooperate," Alexander Lukashenko stressed.

The Belarusian leader stated that at the meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council a lot had been said about cooperation of the CSTO with the international organizations such as OSCE, UN, especially in peace-building,  BelTA informs.

The Belarusian side took note of some serious decisions made on new types of armament. Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia possess sophisticated technologies for producing a decent product for the armed forces.

The heads of state also focused on the issues of CSTO information security. "Let us agree that it is a very important issue and it can be unsafe for our states to ignore it," the Belarusian leader is convinced.

"We were at times unhappy with some of the organization's cooperation areas, and we were criticized for developing a military and political organization, which is the main area of our cooperation in the CSTO. Today's decision means that we would focus our attention on the development and strengthening the military capacity of the organization," the Belarusian head of state said. In his words, a state needs up to 90 days to concentrate its forces for protection. The CSTO heads of state agreed on the efforts to enhance the mobility of the organization's armed forces.
