Luxembourg to host EU - Kazakhstan Cooperation Council meeting Oct 14
The 21st meeting of the EU - Kazakhstan Cooperation Council will take place on October 14, 2024, in Luxembourg, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
It’s expected that the meeting will focus on the current state of relationship between Kazakhstan and the EU, further steps within the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the sides.
The participants of the meeting will also exchange views on political, economic and trade issues and cooperation.
The regional and international events as well as cooperation, initiatives of the Global Gateway group in Europe and security issues are to be discussed as well.
The European side is to be led by Péter Szijjártó, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, on behalf of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu is expected to head the Kazakh delegation.
Earlier it was reported that the Kazakhstan-EU trade reached 20.2 billion US dollars in five months.
