M5.5 earthquake hits Syria

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 has occurred in Syria, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre says, Trend reports.

According to information, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 4 kilometers west of the city of Salamiyah.

There is no information about casualties or damage.
