MADE IN KAZAKHSTAN: Zhambyl region exports safflower oil

TARAZ. KAZINFORM - Safflower oil plant of KazIrAgro LLP is successfully operating among the FIID program projects implemented in Zhambyl region.

KazIrAgro LLP specialized in growing of safflower, production and processing of safflower oil and seed meal. In 2011 the company purchased German high-technology equipment to produce safflower oil in Shu district of Zhambyl region. According to Governor of Shu district Bakutzhan Nurkenov, in 2014 the enterprise produced 200 tons of safflower oil, 180 tons of which were exported to China. "By the end of the first quarter 2015 KazIrAgro LLP intends to increase its production capacity and produce up to ten tons of oil per day," B. Nurkenov said. On its territory of eight hectares, the enterprise has an oil-preparation unit, an equipped grain reception center for storing and processing of grain and oil. "We produce want-satisfying quality yield which has all necessary ISO and health certificates," said Mr.Nurkenov. 33 projects worth 123 billion tenge were implemented in Zhambyl region during the first five-year-program (2010-2014). These projects created about 5 thousand new working places. 26 investment projects amounting to 590 billion tenge will be implemented in the second five-year-program. This will allow creating over 7 thousand new jobs. 5 projects with 700 working places are planned to be launched in 2015, Akimat of Zhambyl region informed.
